Daimler India’s startup competition to enable spark new strategies

CHENNAI: Daimler India Commercial Autos (DICV) has declared a world-wide levels of competition “Startup Sparks” for early phase startups to pitch their tips in the fields of 1) Electric powered Vehicles and Alternate Mobility, 2) Connectivity & Servitization, 3) Long run Mobility and 4) Customized Purposes & Industrial Products and solutions.
“As the inventors of the 1st passenger car, omnibus and truck, innovation is a aspect of Daimler’s heritage. We’re fired up to carry on that custom by launching The Farm, an incubator system to generate innovation that features early-stage entrepreneurs and inventors the opportunity to switch suggestions into fact,” claimed Satyakam Arya, CEO & MD, DICV.
The competitiveness, which will be held totally on-line for this initially version, will be open up from December 21, 2020 to January 29, 2021. Software is free of charge and benefits post jury pitch session will be announced in February 2021. The ultimate shortlisted startups will participate in the preincubation module adopted by the nine-month incubation programme, ‘The Farm’. With mentorship, infrastructure and funding help from DICV, academia and area gurus, participants can mature their concepts to the ‘proof of concept’ stage. The initiative is arranged in association with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt of India and Make investments India. The goal is to deliver marketplace, institutes and the startup ecosystem nearer to bolster know-how funds.
