Exceptional: Casey Benesch, a former Netflix executive who aided develop up the streaming giant’s stature in comedy, is shifting to rival Prime Video to head up comedy promoting.
The transfer was announced internally by Ukonwa Ojo, global main marketing officer for Prime Video clip and Amazon Studios. Benesch will report to Ojo when he starts his new job future week.

At Netflix, Benesch was director of comedy advertising and marketing, creating campaigns throughout 190 international locations for unique specials and series. He helped spearhead the growth of the initial “Netflix is a Joke” brand marketing campaign and also acquire the wry voices of the company’s several social media channels.
In advance of Netflix, Benesch was VP of Innovative Marketing and advertising at Humorous or Die.
